Bhikkhus, these 2 desires are hard to abandon. What 2?
The desire for gain and the desire for life.
These 2 desires are hard to abandon.

Bhikkhus, these 2 kinds of persons are rare in the world. What 2?
One who takes the initiative in helping others and one who is grateful and thankful.
These 2 kinds of persons are rare in the world.
120 (3)
Bhikkhus, these 2 kinds of persons are rare in the world. What 2?
One who is satisfied and one who provides satisfaction.
These 2 kinds of persons are rare in the world.
121 (4)
Bhikkhus, these 2 kinds of persons are hard to satisfy. What 2?
One who amasses what he gains and one who squanders what he gains.
These 2 kinds of persons are hard to satisfy.

Bhikkhus, these 2 kinds of persons are easy to satisfy. What 2?
One who does not amass what he gains and one who does not squander what he gains.
These 2 kinds of persons are easy to satisfy.

Bhikkhus, there are these 2 conditions for the arising of greed. What 2?
The mark of the attractive and careless attention.

The mark of the repulsive and careless attention.
